The island of Alderney has issued a special £5 coin mark in memory of those who died in World War One.

The coin, which has been produced by The Royal Mint on behalf of Alderney, features a colour poppy design by Royal Mint engraver Laura Clancy which shows poppies falling towards the base of the coin. Each coin purchased includes a donation to the Imperial War Museum.

Trichromatic techniques have been used to produce the coin, with layers of different shades and colours creating a vivid flower image which sums up the message of Remembrance Day. The coin is struck to Brilliant Uncirculated standard and is presented in a folder which contains background on the history of Remembrance Day.

To purchase the coin, visit The Royal Mint shop.
