RAF Cranwell on fourth coin to celebrate King Charles' 75th birthday

The new 50p coin is a very limited release of 950

The new 50p coin has been created by Pobjoy Mint, and is legal tender in the British Antarctic Territory. It is one of a six-coin series commemorating His Majesty's 75th, each one of which features a building connected to his life and a related symbol. 

The fourth coin in the series features RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire, where the King's RAF jet pilot training took place in 1971, during his second year at Cambridge University. The King received his RAF wings in August 1971, and served in the RAF between 1971 and 1976. 

The coin is available in Cupro Nickel Diamond Finish and Proof Sterling Silver, and carries an effigy of King Charles lll.
