New Zealand Mint has released details of the latest in its annual Love is Precious coin series.
The theme for 2019 is the Bird of Paradise (Paradisaeidae), a colourful bird whose male of the species carries out a courtship display to show off its spectacular plumage.
The coin shows the male bird displaying its plumage as a female Bird of Paradise watches. The birds are surrounded by flower and below them is the wording: Love is Precious. Above the birds is a red heart-shaped genuine cubic zirconia set into the coin.

The coin is packaged in a printed box, featuring a beautiful floral pattern incorporating the striking male bird.
