The thousands of American troops and local residents of Saipan who gave their lives during the Marianas Campaign of World War II are honoured in the latest Beautiful Quarters® coin release from the United States Mint.

This is the second 2019 release for Beautiful Quarters® and this latest coin is minted at the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mints.

The reverse of the coin features a young woman in traditional dress at the front of the Flag Circle and Court of Honour. She is resting her hand on the plaque whose text honors the sacrifice of those who died in the Marianas Campaign of World War II and reads: "AMERICAN MEMORIAL PARK," "N. MARIANA ISLANDS," "2019," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
