Perth Mint of Australia's newest Endangered and Extinct coin features the Tasmanian Devil, which is pictured on a Silver Proof coin. This is the third in the Endangered and Extinct series and is struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver, with a coloured reverse design featuring two Tasmanian Devils.
The two initial coins in the Endangered and Extinct coin series, featured the Tasmanian Wedge-Tailed Eagle and the Tasmanian Tiger. Both coins sold out and the new coin is limited to a mintage of 5,000.
The coins are struck as legal tender of the island nation of Tuvalu with a face value of $1.
