New Anne Geddes coin released by New Zealand Mint

Renowned photographer Anne Geddes has created a new image which features on the latest 'Heartfelt' coin from New Zealand Mint. Geddes is known around the world for her iconic photographs which feature babies in different scenes including flowers, and dressed up as insects.

The new $2 coin features a scene from the December page of Anne Gedde's calendar; an image of a baby nestling into a hat made of soft Merino wool. The sleeping baby is wearing a hat which matches the one in which it is nestled. Around the edge of the image are the words Anne Geddes and the registered mark. The obverse of the 1oz coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
