New Zealand Mint has released details of its forthcoming Monopoly coins which celebrate the heritage of the famous board game. The reverse of the four 1/4 oz silver coins each carry an iconic image from one of the four corners of the Monopoly boards: Collect $200, Go to Jail, Free Parking and In Jail/ Just Visiting. The obverse has a Raphael Maklouf effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The coins are issued by New Zealand Mint on behalf of Niue Island.

Packaging for the set includes a Monopoly themed outer box and coins are presented in an iconic green Monpoloy house that fans of the game will instantly recognise. The HASBRO and MONOPOLY names and logos, the distinctive design of the game board, the four corner squares, the MR. MONOPOLY name and character, as well as each of the distinctive elements of the board and playing pieces are trademarks of HASBRO for its property trading game and game equipment and are used with permission. © 1935, 2012 HASBRO.
