The US Mint has released the fourth in its series of five issues of America the Beautiful coins.

Each coin in the series features a common obverse (heads side) with the 1932 portrait of George Washington by John Flanagan. The reverse of the five new 2013 coins feature:

  • White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire
  • Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial in Ohio
  • Great Basin National Park in Nevada
  • Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine in Maryland
  • Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota

In total, the twelve-year America the Beautiful programme will feature 56 quarters with reverse sides which depict some of the country's best-loved national parks and national sites. Five new quarters are issued each year, with the final issue planned for 2021.
