Royal Australian Mint marks the sixtieth anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II with a coloured $2 coin. The coin marks the queen's sixty years on the throne as the diamond jubilee of the coronation is celebrated during 2013.
The $2 commemorative coin has a 'C' mintmark and purple colour, with a design which features a stylised representation of St Edward’s Crown surrounded by circles including a pattern of purple coloured, the colour synonymous with royalty stripes.
