American Interest. Commemorative Medal, George II,  Indian Treaty of Easton Medal or the Quaker Duffield medal, 1757, by Edward Duffield, US Mint strike in silvered bronze, laureate and armoured bust of the King l., GEORGIVS II DEI GRATIA, rev. a Quaker in hat and frock-coat, holding up a peace-pipe, seated below a tree and across a fire facing an Indian, radiant sun above, + LET US LOOK TO THE MOST HIGH WHO BLESSED OUR FATHERS WITH PEACE, in ex. 1757, 43.5mm. (Jamieson fig. 8; MI.682/399; Eimer 654; Betts 401; J. J. Ford, XVI, 17 October, 2006, lot 45), a pleasant and well struck example, an inventory number once inked below bust, pierced at top, usual obverse die flaw runs from edge by R of GEORGIVS to mouth and beyond, good very fine.
