A new coin commemorates the 25th anniversary of the death of Princess Diana in 1997
On behalf of the Bank of Sierra Leone, Pobjoy Mint is releasing a new coin in memory of the life of the beloved Princess, who died in a car accident in Paris on August 31 1997.
The beautiful new collectors' coin shows Princess Diana with her two young sons, William and Harry, with the wording '1961-1997 Diana Princess of Wales'. The obverse bears the Coat of Arms of Sierra Leone.
The coin is being produced in Uncirculated Cupro Nickel and Proof Sterling Silver. Both varieties are available in presentation boxes.
