Pobjoy Mint has revealed the design of the fifth coin in the series of 50 pence coins featuring The World of David Walliams™ produced on behalf of the Government of Gibraltar.
The fifth coin in the series is dated 2022 and features Walliams’ fifth novel Ratburger. The coin is available in Cupro Nickel Diamond Finish and Proof Sterling Silver in astonishing colour to match the original illustrations by Tony Ross.
Published by HarperCollins Children’s Books – the story follows a little girl called Zoe. Things are not looking good for Zoe. Her stepmother Sheila is so lazy she gets Zoe to pick her nose for her. The school bully Tina Trotts makes her life a misery – mainly by flobbing on her head.
And now the evil Burt from Burt’s Burgers is after her pet rat! And guess what he wants to do with it? The clue is in the title!
The design on the coin shows the image of the front cover from the novel and is available in Cupro Nickel Diamond Finish and Proof Sterling Silver in colour.
