A new artistic representation of two kangaroos poised against the rising sun forms the centrepiece of Royal Australian Mint's new Kangaroos at Dawn issue.
The coin, $1 1/2 oz silver proof coin features a design showing two kangaroos at the start of the day, just as they become active. They are poised against a rising sun, surrounded by rock formations and vegetation.
The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
