The Royal Mint's 'Winnie the Pooh' series of coins continues with an official UK 50p coin featuring the loveable but downbeat donkey Eeyore, inspired by the original watercolour illustrations of E. H. Shepard.
The Winnie the Pooh and Friends coin collection consists of nine coins, with the Eeyore 50p being the sixth coin in the series.
The full series of Winnie the Pooh coins is as follows:

- Tigger
- Christopher Robin
- Piglet
- Eeyore
- Kanga
- Roo
- Pooh and his closest friends from Hundred Acre Wood
It should be noted, these coins will not be entered into general circulation, so you won't find one in your loose change but will need to purchase the coins from The Royal Mint or other retailers.

In collaboration with Disney, the coin designs have been inspired by the original illustrations of E. H. Shepard from A. A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh stories published in 1926.
The Eeyore coin's design
The classic watercolour effect of the original 1926 manuscript has been remastered with colour printing across the special-edition silver and BU coins.
Designed by The Royal Mint designer Daniel Thorne, the coins all feature Thorne’s signature bee motif.
The Eeyore coin shows an image of the donkey with his name handwritten underneath.
