To commemorate the 2022 Cherry Blossom Viewing, Japan Mint have released gold, silver, and red brass medals.
Designs of the three medals are common…
The obverse of each medal shows:
- stained glass windows featuring cherry blossoms, and a woman
- The flower crown and the embroidery on the dress represent the image of Fukurokuju the Blossom of the Year
The reverse depicts the Blossom of the Year, Fukurokuju Especially, on the obverse of the gold medal the stained glass windows are beautifully depicted using the iridescent colour shining technology.

In addition, on the reverse sides of the silver and red brass medals the Blossom of the Year Fukurokuju is printed in colour.
