Auction house Baldwin’s are ‘very much open for business, taking orders, answering queries and despatching goods’.

Major London auction house Baldwin's have announced that they are planning a range of auctions for June and their Spring fixed price list is now available on the website.

A statement reads:

"Our store may be closed but our teams are working from home as much as possible, as per the government guidelines, in order to help halt the spread of Covid-19.

"We are still very much open for business, taking orders, answering queries and despatching goods. We have implemented a new structure which will allow our teams to operate effectively remotely. Our colleagues and customer safety remain our top priority and we thank you for your understanding in this unprecedented situation we find ourselves in."

The latest price list includes 'a broad selection of Ancient Greek and Roman, Medieval, British and world coins, tokens and medals' and can be viewed at: www.baldwin.co.uk/shop

Highlights of the British Coins on offer include a George VI (1936-52), Proof Five Pounds (illustrated above) which is on sale for £6,950, and a George III (1760-1820) Pattern Shilling, 1798, by John Milton, on sale for £13,950.
